A couple of weeks ago we asked What’s on Your Desktop? This was a very popular post with over 130 screenshots uploaded.
MacTips viewer Matthew M. suggests we see What’s on Your Dashboard?
- Open Dashboard
- Take a screenshot with Command+Shift+3
- This places a file called Picture 1 on your desktop.
- Head over to the MacTips Uploader and upload Picture 1 from step #3.
- Copy and paste the code inside the textarea into the comments field below
Here’s my Dashboard:
I have Weather, MAMP, Cyberduck, Google Pagerank, MacTips and Mint running on my Dashboard. How about you?
Also, I apologize for the lack of posting. New posts are coming soon. In the meantime if you have a tip you’d like to share head on over to Submit a Tip.

Here's what I have an why.
- 2 World Clocks: My family lives in France, and a cousin lives in Australia
- Unit Converter: Always handy
- Organized (from islayer.com): I'm an organization freak
- Currency Converter: I frequently deal with different currencies
- Tax Calculator: A widget I made to calculate taxes
- Videotron Internet Usage: this helps me know how much data I've transfered monthly (I'm limited to 100GB/month) July 7th, 2008 at 9:33 pm

iStat menus, phone book, weather, xCuts (shortcut reminder), iTunes sleep timer, Menu Butler. I keep Dashboard disabled most of the time, but Menu Butler is nice to keep the bar uncluttered. xCuts was invaluable while learning the shortcuts, and the sleep timer is nice for falling asleep to some jams but not waking up to them. I have 3 widgets:
- iStat - Very useful
- iOrganize - Very useful because it handles all my agenda, world clocks in one convenient widget.
- And the weather widget
I like organized, uncluttered dashboard with essential data, nothing more, nothing less. July 17th, 2008 at 8:53 am
