I had one of the first Mac 128K back in college and then one of the first Powerbooks. After that, I had to get a PC for my programming work. I've run on a Windows machine since 95, but once Vista came out, I started thinking of my other options. I didn't realize that I could run Windows on a Mac until a friend told me. I was so excited to check it out. I bought a MacBook and I only run Windows when I have to do my programming work, the rest of the time I spend on my mac is like play. All I can say is - I'M BACK, MAC! (and man am I lovin' it!) May 5th, 2008 at 12:51 pm

Around 26 years. i actually started on an Apple Lisa after my Dad bought one in his office of IBMs and as a summer job from school (I was about 14) I had to learn it and teach it to the staff. Never looked back from then on. May 5th, 2008 at 10:39 pm

I would have liked to fill in more specific number of years. 26 years for me. Started on a MacPlus which still is working great. I gave it to a collector recently.

It still makes me smile when I think of those first years. I did as an example layout of three books on that 9 inch monitor. Before I invested in an external 20 Mb hard disk, saving meant swapping floppies up to three times between the PageMaker floppy and the System floppy. Phew! May 6th, 2008 at 4:53 am

Ever since Mac+ in 1981 - As a consulting firm, helped set-up a LAN when the SE came out and we adopted MACs for more than a dozen work stations, in our North America section. Have had one also at home all that time also (presently an iMac mid-2007 - 24") fpr retirement hobbies, music and photography.

Thought it's use for years, and still do some trouble-shooting for friends whom I had recommended using MACs instead of PCs. They love the almost trouble free MAC platform. May 6th, 2008 at 12:48 pm

I'm not sure how to answer this question. I bought my first personal apple computer less than a month ago. But I've been using apple computers for years in other places - at school, at work sometimes, family members have owned them before. So I'm quite familiar with how to operate os x, I've just never owned it before. May 6th, 2008 at 6:19 pm

It was about two years ago when both Leopard and Vista were being highly publicized that a friend of mine started looking into apple offerings. He needed a notebook and was looking into a mac. As a hard headed windows user, nobody could stop us from arguing sides but after some time I decided to look into it.

So here I am today with my slew of iProducts (and probably 5 times the company fanboyism =P) May 7th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
