Set up QuickBooks 2007 for Automatic Backups

The best backup plan is an automatic backup plan. Something you can set and forget always gets completed.

If you want to back up your QuickBooks database quickly and easily, you can automate the process in QuickBooks Preferences.

Here are the quick and easy steps.

Open Preferences in the QuickBooks menu.

Choose Show > Company File Backups.

Set a schedule you’re comfortable with. My schedule looks like the screenshot below.

Check “Automatically back up…” Back up every two times company file is closed and keep 6 backups. Choose a folder specifically for backups and you’re good to go! I keep 6 copies of the backup because they’re very small. Mine are less than 10 mb each.
