Quick Tip: Opening New Tabs with the Address Bar

As far as I know, this only works in Safari. If you want to open an address in a new tab without deselecting your current tab, type the address into the address bar, then press Command + Enter.

Holding Command will generally always open a link in a new window. This goes for clicking links and your back button.

I think it's easier to press Cmd-T to open a new tab & then start typing your new address. (No mouse work required!)

  2. This works in Firefox as well, just press Option + Enter!
