It’s video time, and once again we’re focusing on Quicksilver. I swear next week will be on something else.
This video will show you two different ways of managing todo lists with Quicksilver.
The first method involves the Text Manipulation plugin, using text files for managing your list.
The other option uses Remember the Milk, a free service for managing your todo list from anywhere. I take this a step further and show you how you can post items directly to Remember the Milk using the RTM for QS plugin.
Let me know your thoughts and what you’d like to see for next weeks video.
Do you like the video of me in the corner or should I ditch it next time?

I really like your site. I find it to be one of the best sites on Mac OS X Tips. About the video: I think you should find a way to make your videos without using youtube, since I would like to see more resolution and definition, wich youtube does not offer. I think your face is not required in this videos since it can be a bit distracting.
I have one question:
Spotlight or Quicksilver? And why?
Thank you very much

Is it possible to import a task directly into iCal, without doing it from the website?
I mean, if you add a todo from QS and you have to go on the website to import it into iCal, you don't really save your time with QS February 29th, 2008 at 4:05 am

It looks like you can create Todo and Events with this plugin, so this should be exactly what you're looking for.
Unfortunately I can't find a download link for this right now, but I'll be able to search more when I get home tonight.
Bruno,
Thanks for the comments. I'm currently planning on releasing these videos as a iTunes podcast, and those will be in a much much better format.
I didn't want to setup the podcast until I had at least 3 videos--so you should see higher definition videos next week.
I prefer Quicksilver, hands down. Spotlight is great for beginners as it's already setup and very easy to use. Quicksilver has the ability to add triggers and plugins so you can accomplish nearly anything you can think of.
Add the fact that you can change the Quicksilver Interface and there's no contest in my opinion. February 29th, 2008 at 8:29 am

Love the video but the fact that we can see you not looking at the camera in the bottom is a bit distracting. I think what you should do is do the intro with your face full screen then cut to the full screen of the screen shot. Then when you are going out cut back to the face shot and say your closing comments. February 29th, 2008 at 9:53 am

Debbie, Glad you like it--I was hoping people would enjoy the videos.
This time I used ScreenFlow (http://www.varasoftware.com/products/screenflow/). Initially it was very buggy but they've since made another release that fixes all of those problems. So far I really love it. It does everything I need and more. March 1st, 2008 at 1:15 pm
