TimeMachineEditor is a great little application that allows you to optimize your Time Machine backups much more than the regular System Preferences pane does. It is quite lightweight and simply works. If you use Time Machine for your backups, you should definitely check it out.
TimeMachineEditor gives you the option to schedule Time Machine backups at intervals, or at a specific time each day, week, or month.
