Reopen All Windows From Your Last Session In Safari

It doesn’t get much simpler. If Safari crashes for one reason or another, do not fear, just reopen it, go to History -> Reopen all windows from last session. This restores all windows and tabs opened in your last browsing session.

Thanks for posting this! Difficulty backing up/restoring tabs has been my only complaint since switching from the ol' Firefox/Dell combination. (I'm embarrassed to admit the amount of tabs I've open at any given time; and the time I've spent searching for a way to restore my lost tabs -- I think everyone in my dorm knows when I lose them judging by how loudly I curse.)

Good tip but I like how Firefox handles it better. When Firefox crashes, it will then ask you automatically if you want to open the pages from your last session when you open Firefox again. Safari should also ask you like Firefox does, instead of having to go into History. I use Safari much more then Firefox but in this one particular situation, Firefox handles it better.

  3. Charlie,

I'd agree. This is always nice to have but FireFox handles this a bit better.

  4. @Charlie: Yeah, Firefox definitely does a better job at this. Opera and OmniWeb actually do an even better job, allowing you to save various sessions and other things.
