Quickly Move Contacts Between Groups in Adium

The regular way Adium treats groups is often frustrating. If you work with a few different IM protocols, changing a contact’s group can often be frustrating. However, I recently discovered a simple but useful trick that makes it possible to easily move contacts from one group to another.

To do this, simply hold down Command and drag-and-drop a contact onto any group header.

If you want to move a contact to a group with no online contacts in it, you can press Shift-Command-H to set Adium to display offline contacts, and then the group should appear.
