Add Lyrics to iTunes Songs

At some point in the last year or two, Apple added basic lyrics functionality to iTunes and iPods. The main thing that makes this useful is that when listening to music on an iPod, it adds a little pane that you can scroll through with the lyrics to the song.

There are various applications that find lyrics for iTunes songs automatically, but I have yet to find a good free one. If, like me, you aren’t satisfied with any of these applications but would still like to have lyrics to some songs in iTunes and on your iPod, it is quite easy to do this manually.

Simply select a song, press Command I, select the “Lyrics” pane, and paste the lyrics to a song in. Finding lyrics is easy, simply Google the song, artist, and/or album title with the word “lyrics” in the search.
