Changing the leopard menubar back to solid (from the translucent look)

I love leopard, but I’m not a huge fan of the translucent menubar, with some wallpapers, it seems distracting. I found a nice little application that will fix this, and add the nice gradient.

The app is “menu bar tint” and you can download it here.

I use the darker one, and it looks really professional, regardless of the wallpaper.

   You can do this exact same thing with this command: sudo defaults write /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.WindowServer 'EnvironmentVariables' -dict 'CINOBACKGROUNDIMAGE’ 0.62

   Yes, but some people may want a brighter or darker look, this app allows you to choose, that terminal command would need to be edited for each shade. December 22nd, 2007 at 8:39 am
