Using Pages Documents with Microsoft Word, Open Office, etc

The most annoying thing about pages is that it saves all your documents as .pages which can only be read by Pages. To be able to use your documents in other applications, you can export them to to a more widely accepted format by going to file->export, then choosing a format. I recommend either RTF or .doc (Word) because they work with everything. When emailing long documents, it is more common to use PDF

I could not get it to work the way you describe. It appears you are on one of those microsoft macs, cause I could not find export under file.

  2. Jimmy, which version are you using?

  3. I am using an Intel Mac, not a Microsoft one if that's what you meant

  4. This is a new feature in iWork '08 I believe.

Absolutely right RTF is the best format that matches most apps
