Here’s a link to an AppleScript to take the URL from Safari’s frontmost window and put a tiny URL in your clipboard. Here’s the script. It is useful for stuff like Twitter, or Facebook and so forth where it isn’t functional to have the entire URL. For ubiquitous use you then can make it into a Quicksilver trigger.
