Everyone seemed to like the recent posts about the plug-ins that allow viewing the contents folders and .zip archives within Quick Look, so here is another similar plug-in.
This one is for watching Flash Video files (.flv) like you would a QuickTime file in Quick Look. Normally, you would need an “advanced” application such as VLC to view these files, but this is really a great solution.
This one is a little more complicated than the other plug-ins. First, you must download and install Perian. Once you’ve got that set up, simply download the plug-in and drag the file titled “flv.qlgenerator” into a folder titled “QuickLook” in ~/Library/. (You may need to create the folder yourself.) After relaunching Finder, you’ll be set.
