MacTips is still growing and to keep pace with the growth, we’re looking for 1 more writer.

- Self motivated, able to take instructions and run with them
- Able to meet deadlines on time
- Interested in helping other Mac users
- Consider yourself an Intermediate to Advanced Mac user
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Apple news
- Have lots of ideas and want to express them
What’s are the requirements for writers?
- Writers will be required to write 1 intermediate to advanced tip per day
- Tips are not just links to other sites. If it is a link to another site, a summary and more information should be provided
- Tips include but are not limited to increasing productivity, hacking visual effects, removing annoyances, speed tips, useful keyboard shortcuts, unique OS X apps, etc…
- Writer should have Leopard 10.5 installed
- Bonus: Own items like iPhone, iPod Touch, Apple TV, etc… (This is not required, please apply if your Mac is all you have)
What are writers paid?
Currently writers are paid $150/month. This will be increased over time as you are with MacTips longer.
Tips take from 10 to 15 minutes to write. This is about 7.5 hours per month. This comes out to around $20/hour. Minus a few extra hours for research and responding to comments brings the hourly wage down to about $13/hour.
We’re looking for quality, not quantity.
