The question was how long have you been a Mac user?

60% of you have been a Mac user longer than 1 year, while 40% have been a Mac user under 1 year.

I have been a very happy Mac user for 22 years.

I started with a SE with a (massive) 1 Mb Hardrive in 1986 . I now have an Intel dual core MacMini May 5th, 2008 at 2:02 pm

I've been using a Mac since they made the LISA into the MAC X/L. 1985? As I remember Mac Pluses were the hot ticket about then. 2 x 3.5 inch floppy drives instead of 1. X/L had a larger screen, 10 MB hard drive, special software to fix the pixel shape, user diagnostics with 4 (as I remember) easily removable boards, idea was IT would just send you the replacement board. $3500. on close out as I remember. Went from that to the original portable, a backlit portable, then a 2400 notebook, and then to iMacs. Seems like I buy about the time they become orphans. May 5th, 2008 at 10:06 pm

28 years. I saw my first Mac (512K) in 1985 while I was wintering over in the Antarctic. It was like nothing we'd ever seen before. I used it to analyze energy and water usage statistics for the Station, transcribe interviews, as a journal and to write letters. What a thrill. I came back in 1986 and bought my first Mac. Since 1987 when the printing business I used to work for switched to Macs and Aldus Pagemaker as it was known then. We were all blown away by the easy to use interface, the compatibility (even back then) and the fact that the Macs never crashed on us. May 6th, 2008 at 6:03 pm
