Glance at Files with Quick Look

Another new Leopard feature is Quick Look, which allows you to take a quick (or long) glance at any file instead of launching an application to open it.

To Quick Look a file, select the file and Control-Click it. In the drop-down menu, select “Quick Look ‘[Title],’” and a viewing window should pop up. To expand the viewing window, press the full screen button that appears as two arrows pointing in opposite directions.

Quick Look is a surprisingly powerful feature in Leopard, and even supports opening videos or slideshows.

Actually, it's much easier than that...
click on the file to make it active (don't need to double click as that would launch it) once it's active, hit the space bar to activate the "quick look" feature..

  2. Yeah, I figured that out by now, but I didn't realize it when I first started with Leopard. For those who use primarily a mouse, right-clicking will still be faster.
