The best tip I can give you today is to buy Leopard. If you don’t already know, Leopard is the newest iteration of OS X, the fifth one. It is to be released on Friday, October 26, for $129 from Apple and $109 from Amazon. It is bringing about over 300 new features, many of which will be huge improvements to productivity. For example, “Quick Look”is a new feature allowing you to preview many types of documents within Finder, and “Spaces” is a new feature that acts similarly to VirtueDesktops, allowing you to switch between multiple workspaces. There are also updates to most of the bundled applications, and a new look to applications.
Pre-ordering online from Apple will get Leopard delivered to you on launch day, but Amazon may take a few days extra. I will be getting and installing Leopard immediately on the 26th, so expect a ton of new Leopard tips starting then.
