5 Obscure Applications to Try

I don’t have the time or ideas to write another tip right now, since I’m going out of town for the next couple of days, but here is a list of 5 great applications which are not used for normal things.
Netflixfreak1031. Netflix Freak
Netflix Freak is simply the best way to manage your Netflix movie rental account, offering most of the features one would expect.

2. CocoaliciousIcon
Cocoalicious is my personal favorite del.cio.us client for the Mac, and does an excellent job. If you use Firefox, I recommend Yahoo!’s del.icio.us Bookmarks Add-on though.

3. Comic Life
Banner-Thing1-2The coolest way to view your life is, of course, as a comic book. Comic Life has a long way to go as a Mac application, but its excellent iPhoto, Finder, and iSight integration make it a fun application to play with.

2007101214334. iPhoney

A cool, free, iPhone web simulator, is iPhoney, which claims to be a tool for web designers. However, it is also a great tool for getting over the angst of not owning an iPhone.
5. Twitterific
Twitterific is my favorite solution to easily posting updates to micro-blogging site Twitter.

Thanks for the post! :-) And we're always keen at plasq to improve things, so we'd love to hear your (or other people's) feedback on how we can improve Comic Life in the future.

  2. Hey, some things in Comic Life that I'd love to see in the future is making it a little more Mac-like. For example, using a snap-on method similar to OmniGraffle's for arranging objects. I love how OmniGraffle really lets you know exactly why it is clicking the object to a certain place.
