An easy way to switch to another folder while in Finder is by pressing . The following dialog will popup:

You can now type any folder you wish to go to.
You can also use tab to complete any folder who’s name your in the middle of typing. For example, type “~/Do” and press tab. “~/Documents/” will be the completed text.

I would also like to know how to access the side bar in a finder window via the keyboard. It would be great to select any of the locations there for quicker access. September 7th, 2005 at 2:09 pm
