Access Search Field in Safari from Keyboard

Looking for a way to access the search field in Safari from the keyboard?

It’s as easy as pressing .

Safari-Search


In Firefox, this is the equivalent of pressing Ctrl+K.

  3. I've been doing Command + L to jump to the location bar, then tab to jump to the search bar.

    I've always just hit Command-L followed by TAB. That has the same effect, but takes two keystrokes. If only I can retrain my brain to use this one instead...
