Quick Dictionary Lookup

You can easily lookup a word in any Cocoa application by hovering your mouse over the word and pressing Command+Control+D .

A small dialog box like the one below will appear.

Is this a Tiger-only feature? It doesn't seem to work in Panther, and I do seem to remember the Dictionary being on the list of features in Tiger...
